After 3 years, and 3 months of "have you set a date?"  "when are you getting married?"  "you're still engaged?"  "oh, I thought you'd be married by now"  and my personal favorite "Is this a fake engagement?" ....I can now happily reply with,

Fred and I are going out with Allison tonight to celebrate.  Because it's been three years coming, and it's finally official!

PS- Yes, I realize it's exactly four months from today.  I have a lot of work cut out for myself, but thankfully I have many of the major details solidified already.
